Restaurant Session (in De Haan, Belgium): De Kruidenmolen

On Sunday morning, we drove to De Haan to spend a couple of days at the Belgian coast. As we arrived around lunch time, we went directly to bistro De Kruidenmolen from chef Stijn Bauwens. De Kruidenmolen, or Herbs Mill, is located at a former mill house.

The inside. It is beautifully decorated although, for our taste, the tables are a bit too close to each other.

My starter: shrimp croquettes with deep fried parsley. Excellent!

 

 As main dish, cod with asparagus, mash potatoes and green herb sauce.

 

For Sunday lunch, they were quite full (and the pacing was a bit slow), so we decided to skip dessert and coffee. But very nice lunch - I always enjoy to be back here!
