In the beginning of May, we went for lunch at Hoeve des Bies, from chef Maurice Huynen. I love this restaurant, such a beautiful place and delicious food!
Enjoying the lounge area outside for the aperitif.
A glass of Brut Rosé from Domaine Crutzberg.
With the aperitif, appetizers from beetroot - macaron and...
...marinated version.
As it was a chilly day, time to go inside. Love the big glass doors, joining the out and inside space.
As first dish, crab royal, yuzu and kohlrabi.
Roger had the wine pairing. With the first dish, a glass of Semillon from winery Apricus Hill.
As the designated driver :-) , I had a Elderflower drink from Fentimans.
As third dish, pike perch, leek, moule, fennel.
With the pike pearch, a glass of 2015 Ratscher Morillon Startin from Gross.
I had a Rose Lemonade from Fentimans.
Pairing with the shortrib and foie, a glass of 2018 Tempranillo Ribera Del Duero from Bodegas Arrocal.
The main dish: chicken, asparagus, cafe de Paris sauce and peas. Sauce was amazing, we loved this dish!
Sweet time! As dessert, cheesecake and peach. Delicious! Although we love their Dame Blanche too, it is a difficult choice :-)
With the dessert, a glass of 2017 Schwarzhofberger Riesling Spaetlese from Vereinigte Hospitien. Very nice!
