Waiting for the fast speed train Thalys to arrive in Aachen for our next destination: Paris! Leaving at 7h22, we are arriving in Paris at 10h05 - only 2h40 from Aachen.

Arriving to Paris Gare du Nord, we went to buy metro tickets: huge queues and lots of machines not working (a nightmare!). When we finally got to the metro, and the doors closed, the light went out and the metro stopped. Not the most friendly welcome... It eventually started working again. From that experience, we changed to Uber instead and it worked like a charm!
