Restaurant Session (in Kornelimünster): Sankt Benedikt

Saturday night, we went for dinner at restaurant Sankt Benedikt✨ from chef Maximilian Kreus. To start, some appetizers.
 
Cones of avocado with tomato.
 
As aperitif, a glass of 2014 Cuvée "MC" Blanc Extra Brut from Weingut Drautz Able.
 
For my sister and niece, a non-alcoholic option: Dr. Lo Riesling Sparking from Dr. Loosen.
 
 
As amuse bouche, gazpacho caviar with tomato white mousse. Delicious, and perfect on a Summer night!
 
As first dish, salmon, celery, green apple and herbs.

With the first dish, a glass of Scheurebe 470 from Weingut Auftricht. Very nice! 
 
Veal tartare, Prunier Imperial caviar, szechuan pepper. Soooo good!

With the tartare, a glass of 2020 Rose Fume from Knipser.
 
As third dish, cod, tom ka gai, pandan and kaffir lime. Fantastic!

With the third dish, a glass of 2020 Grauer Burgunder Muehleimer Sonnhalde from Doerflinger.
 
Hamashi, pho, cucumber, salicornia
 
Pairing with the hamachi, a glass of 2020 Rotlack Kabinett from Schloss Johannisberg.
 
As main dish, presa iberica (excellent!!), romaine lettuce, mustard and peas.
 
With the main dish, a glass of 2018 Spaetburgunder from Jean Stodden.

Sweet time! Starting with the pre-dessert.
 
The dessert: peach, redcurrant, hazelnut.
 
With the dessert, a glass of 2021 Pittermaennchen Riesling Auslese from Joh. Bapt. Schaefer. Very nice!
