Restaurant Session (in Ermelo, Netherlands): Het Roode Koper

 

For this year vacation, we booked some days in the Dutch island of Texel. Before going there, we spend one day at Ermelo, in the hotel Landgoed Het Roode Koper. At the hotel parking, such giant (and beautiful) trees!

 

As we arrived too early for the check-in, we went...

 

 ...to the terrace for lunch. What a beautiful garden!

 

One thing we did not know in advance (and I wish we knew). When we booked the hotel, we booked the culinary package. However, the 5 course menu that is served for dinner is the same served for lunch. So if you have the culinary package booked, you don't have the choice of a menu at lunch (as it is the same for the evening), but only a la carte (with very few options). 

 

I got a salad: very fresh, with crispy lettuce.

 

As dessert, red berries with a sorbet.

 

After lunch, we went inside... 

 

...to the lounge area to read a bit before we would be able to check-in.

 

Very cozy atmosphere.
