Macarons Time!

 

Before going to sleep, trying the macarons from Carette.

Restaurant Session (in Paris, France): Le Comptoir des Petits Camps

Following a tip of our hotel, we went for dinner at Le Comptoir des Petits Champs. The outside was quite different...

...from the romantic and bistro look inside :-)

Cozy lighting and...

 ...cool paintings.

 

 To drink, black cherries and savory juice.

And black tea with cedrat and ginger - perfect for Summer!

As starters, we asked a variety of petites assiettes to share - and they were delicious.

Zucchini | apricot | goat cheese | ajo blanco (this was excellent!), burrata | pineapple chutney.

French ham stuffed with herbs | garlic bread | tomato.

 As main dish, tuna crudo, burrata, cucumber, cherry, ponzu. Loved the combination!

Sweet time! My sister had roasted peach | ice cream | crumble.

I had a basil and passion fruit cheesecake.

 

 In such a touristic area, this was a great finding - delicious food in a nice atmosphere!

Visiting Disneyland Paris

Sleeping Beauty Castle and the princesses :-D

 

After the Phantom Manor, we came for a ride at he Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril roller coaster.

 

When my niece was three years old and we went to Disney, we did a lunch with the princesses - she loved it (and we did not have to stay in queues to take photos with them :-D ). This time, a change in the menu - just a hot dog, we rather enjoy the rides instead :-)

 

In the queue for Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

 

To not be missed: Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain :-)

In the Walt Disney Studios, one that I did not want to miss was Ratatouille.

 

Ready to go with our 3D glasses. Definitely my favorite ride of the day!

Visiting Paris - Les Deux Plateaux & The Louvre

After dinner, we went for a walk. First stop: the Palais Royal gardens (Jardin du Palais Royal).

...to the Pont des Arts, to spot the Pont Neuf.

 

Even with a mix of rain and sun, it was such a beautiful evening!

Restaurant Session (in Paris, France): Le Grand Colbert

For dinner, we went to Le Grand Colbert. I have been here many years ago, and it was really nice to be back again. As all classics - nothing changed, and it is perfect like that!

 

Telling my niece that she now needs to see 'Something's Gotta Give' :-)

 

As starter, I chose escalope of foie gras with raspberries. Delicious!! My niece had the green bean salad with hazelnuts.

My sister went with a bolder choice: escargots - and she liked it! :-)

As main dish, beef, green beans, fries and (great) sauce Bearnaise.

Sweet time! Home baked Alaska flambéed (at our table!) with rum and...

...bitter dark chocolate mousse.

 

Delicious food, great ambiance (and really close to our hotel): loved it!

...Patisserie Carette. Delicious!
